Five things we want to be completely clear about.

Last updated: September 17, 2026

1. We are not a payment processor

RateCheckrr does not process card payments. We are not a bank, an acquirer, an independent sales organisation or a payment facilitator. We cannot open a merchant account for you, we cannot see your transactions, and we cannot refund anything.

We are a referral service. We introduce you to our payment-processing partners and may be paid when you contact one of them through us, whether or not you sign up. We may also be paid through some links, and we show ads on some pages. See how we make money.

2. We collect information. We do not advise or recommend

RateCheckrr curates information. We collect it and present it in one place, in plain language, with sources. We do not give advice, make claims about what to do, or recommend any product, provider, card or option. You decide.

Comparisons on this site are neutral and side by side. We do not rank providers or pick one over another.

3. Nothing here is advice

Everything on this site is general information for a general audience. It is not financial, legal, tax or accounting advice, and it is not a recommendation to choose or avoid any provider.

Your business has its own numbers, its own contracts and its own circumstances. Before you sign, cancel or change anything, talk to somebody qualified who knows your situation.

4. We do not promise any result

We never say or suggest that a change will cost you less, get you a lower rate or get you a different deal. The statement review explains what is on your statement. It does not come with a promise that anything will change.

Nobody on this site, and none of the partners we put you in touch with, can promise a result before they have read your actual statement. If anybody quotes you a specific result before seeing your numbers, ask them how they worked it out.

5. Rates, fees and rules change constantly

Interchange rates are revised on a schedule. Card network rules change. Surcharging law differs by province and by state and has changed several times. Providers change their pricing without much warning.

We date every page with when it was last reviewed, and we say where our information came from. Even so, always check the current position with the provider or the regulator before acting on it. Where we do not have a source for a number, we say so on the page rather than guessing.

About the calculators

The tools produce estimates from the numbers you type in. They cannot see your statement and they do not know your card mix. An estimate is a guide, not a quote.

About provider pages

We describe how providers price, bill and cancel. We are not affiliated with those companies unless a page says so, and their names and trademarks belong to them. If we have described your pricing incorrectly, tell us: hi@ratecheckrr.com.
